The Colour of Love

This post is for my husband…

When I looked into those eyes as we said our vows… I knew…

The way you ‘talk’ to me without using any words… I know…

The gentle way you comfort me… I know…

The joy, laughter, fear and tears we share… I know…

The times I ‘baby’ and you ‘adult’ for us both… I know…

The patience you show when I’m not the easiest person to get along with… I know…

The way you know just how I like my coffee… I know…

I know the colour of our love is brown. The colour of your eyes. Not a day goes by when those brown eyes doesn’t let me know and feel your love. Not a day goes by when I don’t thank God for the blessing of a husband so fine. When I’m down and out, you love enough for the both of us. Your brown eyes always offers support and reassurance when I need it most.

Thank you for your love, patience, kindness and faithfulness. My rock and pillar of strength, that’s what you are. I know I don’t say it often enough but I do love you and secretly I want to be just like you when I grow up one day. Minus the facial hair off course. If I had to choose a husband again, I’d choose you over and over.
