THE QUOTES CHALLENGE – DAY 1

Those who’s ever had to speak in front of an audience will know that it’s not as easy as “imagining everyone naked”. On the contrary, that’s probably the worst thing you could ever even think about. So how do you overcome that fear? I wish I had a wand to bippity-bappity-boom over you and give you the needed confidence but I don’t so I can’t tell you how to do it. I can however tell you how I overcome it every time I’m called to do it.

First I had to fake it until I made it. Then I realised that I can’t exactly tell my kids to be brave and perform on stage and not show them some of my own, even if it’s more bravado than actual bravery. Today I realise that all it takes is for me to believe in myself and confidence becomes second nature.

This is but one of the examples of believing in yourself but there are so many more situations in life where all it takes is just for you to believe in yourself. The quote above sums it up quite neatly don’t you think?

Miss C from An Unkept Mind has nominated me to participate in The Quotes Challenge, so for the next 3 days I’ll be all quote-y and hopefully as inspirational as she is every Monday with her Motivational Monday blogs.

Here’s how does The Quotes Challenge works:

1. Post your 3 favourite quotes, one each for three consecutive days.
2. With each post nominate 3 bloggers for the challenge.
3. Recognize the blogger who nominated you.

These are my nominees:

Bloggsy Malone
Chevs Life
3 Kids, 2 Dogs, 1 Old House

This is the part where I’m really hoping other bloggers will say “Pick me! Pick me!” so I won’t have to feel too guilty about random nominations. 😉
